It’s natural so don’t beat yourself up.
I’ve been there, it seems impossible at times. You don’t feel like doing anything. In fact, we get into such a negative state that the very thought of making a change or effort seems beyond us and difficult.
But just because you feel this way sometimes, doesn’t mean there is nothing you can do about it. It all comes down to your way of thinking and mindset.
So how can you redirect your demotivated mindset? How can you approach your day with passion, excitement, and fire to achieve your goals? Well, follow these self-motivators that will align your mindset to a new thought process.
FOCUS YOUR DEMOTIVATED MINDSET
Get clear on where you want to be and know that you will do whatever it takes to achieve it. Yes, you have thought about your goals. Yes, its crossed your mind that you should start that project you have been putting off because it’s just not the right time.
But the time is now to commit to going all the way to the top. Once you have committed, the world has a way of supporting you. It’s the most extraordinary thing.
You know you have so much potential. Right now, it’s your lack of discipline and focus which is creating an unmotivated mindset.
Of course, there are plenty of other things I can be doing right now but because I have committed to becoming a leading personal development blogger – I am writing this blog because I want to be the best at what I do.
IDENTIFY YOUR WEAKNESS
Understand who you are. What’s holding you back? Why aren’t you putting maximum effort in right now to be the best you can be?
If you don’t know – ask somebody! Your family know you better than anyone so who best to ask what your weakness is.
Don’t take their answers as insults, use the answers to strive to change for the better.
My weakness and limiting belief was a fear of failure. I never wanted to get started as I expected to fail or get rejected. My thought process was why even start? That’s the truth!
Find your weakness.
ASSOCIATE WITH THE RIGHT PEOPLE
If you are hanging out with losers all the time, who do you expect to be? You guessed it, a loser!
How do you identify people with motivated mindsets?
These people have goals, plans, and aspirations. They don’t spend every weekend clubbing, drinking, and partying. Instead they use weekends to work on bettering themselves. They take personal and professional development seriously and are driven by their values which can be family, friends, and security.
Start figuring out a way to ditch the moaners and whiners out of your life. Toxic people offer nothing if you are serious about redirecting your mindset.
Take excellent care of your health. This means eat the right thing, exercise regularly (I don’t mean kill yourself at the gym) and get lots of rest. Spend as much time as possible with your family, this is great for the mind and can be influential in realigning your mindset.
If you are going to work hard, which you should, then go to bed early so you are ready and alert the following day.
Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise.
Can you see yourself being the best at what you do? If you can’t, then visualize it. It is such a powerful tool.
Visualization really needs to be driven from your goals. Your goals dictate what and how you visualize.
You must remember that all improvements in your life begin with an improvement of your mental pictures.
Get going and move fast. To separate yourself from your competition you need to acquire a sense of urgency. Make action key in your life.
